Post 7: Changes to my study program

 

Hello everyone!

I’m studying public administration, so today I’m going to talk about the career and the study program.

During the career, we study a lot of different subjects from a variety of knowledge areas, for example things related to math like statistics and subjects related to research. The main purpose of the career is that we will be able to deal in the future with public problems that is why it is a multidisciplinary career. The career lasts 5 years if you pass all the subjects, during that time we have theoretical learning and also in the last semester we have the professional practice.

Because of the pandemic I have only had online classes so it is kind of difficult to me think about how normal classes are and how the evaluations are in face to face classes, so it is very hard for me to think about the things that I would like to change in the study program.

I think that something that I would like to change about the study program , it wouldn’t be in the program it self, it would be in the tests and the evaluations, I would really like that we could have more like asynchronous tests and more application tests, because I think that writing essays or a report it is a better way to evaluate if the students have learn all the things. And another reason it is that for me it is more apply the things I have learned instead of memorizing the things.

Post 6: Time travel to the future

Hi everyone! When I think about the future, I feel really pessimistic because of the consequences that the climate change can produce in the planet. But if I could travel to the future, I would like to go to the year 3000 to see if the humanity destroyed the planet’s environment and see all the technological advances that could be created. I think that the only reason why I would like to go to the future and stay there, it would be if it looks like a better place than the present, for example if the society has done something for the environment and if it has become a more friendly place where people are more kind to each other and treat the animals and the other people in a nice way. But being honest I don’t think that we as a society survive until the year 3000, because probably we destroyed the planet’s environment long before we get to that year. I believe that it is extremely likely that the pollution and human actions will destroy the planet, including the animals, the plants...

Post 2: My best holidays

Hello, I think that my best holidays were my school trip to the USA that I made with my classmates in January of 2019, I was in there for almost a month and I went to New York, Boston, Washington, Miami and Orlando, in there I did a lot of cool things, but I think that there are three things that I really enjoyed, one was when I was in New York and I got to go to different places like Time Square, where there was a lot of awesome things, and the Liberty Statue. The second was when I was in Washington walking in a park and I saw a lot of squirrels that looked really cute. And the other thing that I really enjoyed was when I went to a NBA game to see the Orlando Magic against the Brooklyn Nets, and it was really exciting because the game was tied until last minute when the Brooklyn Nets won for two points. Post 1 : A country you'd like to visit

  Ever since I was a kid I have loved the idea of travelling all around the world, and for now I only have been able to go to a few cities that I wanted. So if I had the chance of travelling I would go to Australia because there are a lot of amazing animals there like the Tasmanian devil and the echidna, but also because there are many beautiful beaches where I would like to learn how to surf. If I had the chance of going to Australia I would like to live there at least for a year or two, so I would be able to go to all the places in the island, get to know a little bit more about the animals, both the ones that are alive like the ones that are extinct, and I would go to a lot of restaurants to try the australian cuisine and specially try the seafood dishes and the meat pie.
